Below the cut is a graphic floating around a bit that's commenting on numerous character deaths in The Vampire Diaries.

While I most definitely agree with the overall message (especially Bonnie, whose greatest crime seems to be not liking vampires, who have yet to cause her anything but grief, and being the only character to consistently hold Damon accountable for his actions-and I don't think it's any accident on the writers' part that the one time someone has seriously tried to deal with him is one of the very few times he wasn't directly responsible) I do disagree regarding Emily.  She wasn't exorcised, she accomplished her goal and moved on, even though Damon immediately attempted to murder her descendant, and then got what he wanted anyway.  That said, while I think she's supremely awesome, her entire arc revolves around white peopleusing her (and, as a result, her decendants) to accomplish their goals.  Even her secretly aiding the Council plays into that.  (I could say more, but it's time for work.)
