Planet Ladder
I am currently bingeing through Planet Ladder, the classic-ish scifi shoujo. I read volume 1 a while back (reread it this week) and am currently midway through vol 4, and am regularly flipping back to earlier volumes to remind myself what's going on.
For the record, this manga has:
1. A soulless robot boy who may or may not actually have the soul of the heroine's childhood friend in him.
2. A giant angsty robot chicken.
3. An angsty, 500 year old (don't worry, he only looks 20) prince who has never known the touch of another human being.
4. A disease that makes people's bodyparts randomly fall off.
And my favorite:
5. A beautiful, angsty, silverhaired, crossdressing woman named Bambi who (in addition to the soulless robot boy) is the heroine's protector, is probably in love with her, collapses castles, makes a hotter boy than most actual shoujo boys, and seems to have studied at both the Shoujo School of Dense Heroes and the Shoujo School of Angsty Mean Heroes Who Shall Be Brought Out Of Their Shell By The Perky Heroine.
I think there's a plot, but I get distracted by "You shall not separate me from the princess!" and "Never been touched!" and "Angsty Tale of Cracktastic Woe!"
