Random interesting tidbit learned at work: there is a town in PA named King of Prussia. I may be the only one who didn't know that.

Have been there. Saw the mall. It's huge but otherwise ordinary. The town is likewise ordinary, but the name makes me smile.

"I wonder how touristy it is" pretty much tripped over "That is awesome!" when I saw it.

LOL, I live right near King of Prussia. It's only known for the mall. And the shitty road layout. XD It blows my mind when I go to the mall and see TOUR BUSES there. *facepalm*

Shush! I spent all day picturing it as a supertouristy vaguely racially offensive setup and would no doubt be depressed by its normalness. (Not, mind you, that I would appreove of vaguely racially offensive tourist towns, but when you are trapped at a desk answering emails for 8 hours...)

Given that I live in the next state south ... yes, I knew that!

There's a much smaller town not far from there named "Intercourse." And one just down the pike from that one named "Bird in Hand."   XD

(I love maps, and have done so from an early age.)

"(I love maps, and have done so from an early age.)"

... You mean there's more than just one of us?

Oddest place name hereabouts (in English, anyway) is "Nightcaps". True to its name it's a sleepy little town (ever since the coal mine closed down).

And I'd honestly never heard of any town called "King of Prussia" (the only things I could have named that would have fit the description were Friedrich Wilhelm IV* and Wilhelm I...)

* all right, so there'd logically have been another three of them...

I found that when I was looking up public meeting locations for work! I was so amused, and then I found out all the friends I told knew about it already.
