Next attempt on realism?...
... or what?
I tried drawing something from an advertisement I've found in a magazine. Last one I did in Photoshop and this one is Sai.
By the way, the last one looked originally like that:
And was also drawn from a photo. This one was found on the Internet - it's from Supernatural, or something... >_> The photo was originally overcontrasted, so that's how it came out too.
I think I feel much better about my drawing after trying out realism. I always thought I wouldn't be able to do it even if I tried and was afraid to make an attempt. Then again I always tried to make small steps towards semi-realism. I hoped that one day I could draw something photorealistic (even if it's pointless - just to prove to myself that I can do it too).
Well, as I suspected... it's not hard, but you need a lot of time and patience to do it... I'm lazy and unpatient, so those were made in an hour or so. Maybe two. Ahhh... *sigh*
