Refreshing week........
I loved this week! Spent four days at Owen's house in Maryland. Met some very interesting and fun people, including Owen's fabulous family. Was exposed to some new things such as Keno, Boggle, the movie Crash, and downtown Baltimore and Washington D.C. Owen's a cool friend.
We started driving from MD early Thursday morning and made it to my house in 11 hours with only one necessary stop. [We stopped once more in Avon to go to Best Buy.] When we got to my house we had some time before my friends were going to get there for dinner, so we jammed a little on guitar. Owen impressed my mom with his mad musical skills. Katie, Kris, Julia, Abby, Sharlie, and Bob Jones all came out for dinner and to hang out by the fire pit. Very enjoyable time!
Friday Owen and I slept in a bit, then I showed him the sights of Rockville before we left for Chicago in the early afternoon. When we got to Amar's Klink met us there, and Annamarie's mom cooked us some amazing food. It was so incredibly good to be with my IU friends. It felt like we hadn't really been apart. Nina couldn't join us until Saturday, when she took Klink and I to where she lives, and we went out for Chicago deep-dish pizza, and then back to her house for Indian tea. Owen met a friend for lunch and Annamarie had to work. For the rest of the weekend we all just spent time together. It was very sad to say goodbye, but so nice to know I get to be with these friends all next year! =)
