Friday night we went to Wendy's for dinner. Just take out, no big thing. I fed Grace some veggies before I gave her her kids meal. Thank goodness since when I opened her "burger" there was no meat. Seriously. Just a bun, ketchup and cheese. No burger. How does that happen, exactly? This is after Jeff had to go back once already to get the mandarin oranges we ordered (NOT the fries). It was pretty freaking funny. So Jeff gets back in the car and drives to Wendy's and asks to speak to the manager. He shows the guy the bun and the manager just says, "Oh, sorry man" and goes and gets him a new burger (with actual meat inside this time). Jeff is like "Can you do something else for me? I know it's the drive-thru and I expect crappy service but this is a little ridiculous." So the manager gives him a coupon for a free kids meal cheeseburger. I have 2 problems with this: 1) Jeff had to ask to be compensated and 2) it's shitty customer service. I think I will call the complaint line because that is just too wrong. I told Jeff that Dave Thomas was rolling over in his grave. He said they probably forgot to put him in the casket and he's just sitting in a mound next to the plot.

I decided to call my friend Barry tonight to chit-chat. So I dialed the number and was walking across the kitchen when my ankle gives out and I fall to the floor, knocking the baby gate down and hitting the litter box thus causing a fan to come crashing to the floor. Holt fuck it hurt. Poor Jeff was "going #2" (sorry for that information) but came out as quick as he could to see if I was okay. I was trying not to cry because Grace was there and I didn't want to freak her out. I picked up the phone and all I heard was a dial tone. So I called B back and her bf answered. I told him I was the person who just called and apologized for hanging up which he replied that I wasn't allowed to ever call there again. B got on the phone and I told her what happened. It's so ridiculous that these things happen, I had to laugh. I was afraid that someone picked up on their end and all they heard was me falling and the sound of things crashing to the ground. I am a loser. The worst part is that because I was in a fair amount of pain, I couldn't even continue my phone call. I just told her one quick thing, then got off the phone and cried.

I now have a fairly deepish gash on my knee and my whole body aches. Great!

I am weirdly looking forward to Thursday. Even though my in-laws will be there. Hopefully they will be on their best behavior. *****Leanne, seriously, you can come to my house if your dad is still in the hospital. You, Avery and your Mom. Or just come for dessert. Dinner is at 2:00.***** I love to eat. This is my favorite meal of all time. Mmmm, turkey...

Jeff took this week off so we spent a lovely day shopping at the outlets. Which would have been better if I wasn't so crampy.

Sometimes I look at Grace and am just so amazed that she came out of my body. I never knew being a mom would be this good.

I have a lot to be thankful for this year. My family (especially Jeff and Grace...I don't know if I could survive without them), friends, pets, that all my needs are met, that my friend Jeff who is in the army is alive and well even though he is overseas. I have met so many wonderful people over the past year and it blows my mind that I get so much support from so many people, many of whom I have never met in real life. And the ones I have been lucky enough to meet (Leanne, Barry, Maggie, Tine, and all their kids) are even cooler in person than on the web. Of course, my friends that I have known for years rock just as hard and have seen me through so much shit. Julie, you are truly family to me and it has been an amazing experience being your friend and watching you turn into the fantastic person you are...you inspire me in so many ways.

Okay, I am feeling sappy so before I continue to gush I will depart.

Much love to you all!
