Broken
My toe feels better but is still swollen and aches at times. It's weird, I broke it, what?...over 2 months ago? Yet the thumb that I broke just over a month ago feels fine.
For some reason I thought the nail wouldn't fall off. Then this past week I noticed the edges coming up on one side. And the color underneath the nail made it quite clear it wasn't attached under there. Yesterday it popped up on one side. It wasn't painful, just sensitive.
This is how I spent my Friday night: I ended up cutting a hunk of it off so it wouldn't catch on anything and rip off. Dude, nails are thick! Then I had to buff the edges for the same reason. So the nail is attached at the upper right portion and the rest of it is gone. There's still a fairly large portion that isn't attached but I couldn't get the nail clippers under there. NICE!
