Doing it again this year...

Night Shift by Stephen King...another re-read. Still, it's a good book full of interesting short stories.
What is the What by Dave Eggers...fictionalized memoir of one of The Lost Boys (refugee from the Sudanese civil war in the 1980's-90's). Amazingly sad and stunningly triumphant at once.
Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach...Ever wonder what happens to a body when it's donated to science? Can a human body be composted after death? Does a human head really know it's been removed from it's body? These are just a sample of some of the topics in this hilarious book. A re-read for me (who has the time to go to the library or the money to buy new books?) and I enjoyed it just as much the second time as the first.
One on One by Tabitha King...I first read this book in college when I worked at The Warwick Public Library (work study job). I shelved books there and was always looking for new authors. Yes, this is Stephen King's wife. Yes, she's a writer, too. I actually own quite a few books by her and have read them all a million times. I like this one a lot, it's beautifully written and the story is quite interesting.
Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia by Elizabeth Gilbert...my sister let my mom borrow this, who in turn told me I HAD to read it. I'm glad I did as this is a great book about one woman's search for fulfillment after a nasty divorce. Gilbert is honest, smart and hilariously funny. A

The Book of Reuben:A Novel by Tabitha King...I know, I know. Enough with the King family already! Yes, it's another re-read. I love the way Tabitha King writes, her characters are extremely real. This one is about a man and his struggle to become the person he wants to be. Another great read.
Duma Key: A Novel by Stephen King...got this one for my birthday. Not the best book he's ever written but it was still okay.
Pearl by Tabith King...yesyesyes, another re-read. Good book, vibratant characters.
Caretakers by Tabith King...re-read. Now I know why I only read it once...kinda boring.
The Gods of Small Things by Arundhati Roy....reminds me a little of One Hundred Years of Solitude in the way the characters and their stories are so interwoven. Just started this one and I really like it so far.

**I have completely slacked on this. I read all the time but always forget to write them out. I suck.**

I've read about 4 or 5 more Stephen King novels.
The Ruins by Scott Smith
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee...a friend bought me a very nice hardcover edition of this last summer. I read it every June.
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
Congo by Michael Crichton
Sphere by Michael Crichton
Eaters of the Dead by Michael Crichton
Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean M. Auel
My Sister, My Love: The Intimate Story of Skyler Rampike by Joyce Carol Oates
I am Legand by Richard Matheson...this story was rather short and VERY different from the movie...also had a bunch of short stories in it, which I really enjoyed. I recommend this one.
