Appar ently Bush vetoed a bill in congress meant to recognize the Armenian genocide during world war I as a genocide. The reasoning....Turkey is a major ally in the "war on terror" and he doesn't want to piss them off. It's lame, but I have to wonder if the bill was presented in the first place knowing Bush would veto it and look like a dumbass. The congress had to know. I don't even know if this was an official bill or what it was called. I get my news from the Daily Show. Fox news makes me yell at the TV and CNN has been bland lately.
On the other side of things, Bush is a dumbass for vetoing health care for poor children. That's a bill that really should pass, and I hope they get enough Republicans to overturn the veto.
