I don't feel guilty and I shouldn't
I'm finally at peace with it. My mom gave me the last thing I needed to feel better with out knowing it. My mom said that he probably didn't know that the hood never actually locked down, and thats why he offered to pay for a new windshield. Well, that got me thinking about it.. and I remembered the day I took it in to get fixed the first thing he did in front of me was play with my hood, and I said "Oh, that's never actually locked down, it's always latched, but never locked." I told him and he knew so I REFUSE to feel bad about accepting the new windshield I'm not in the wrong!
