SIGH. I think I may have broken my computer...again. Okay, well maybe not as broken as LAST time (hard drives are so fragile ^^; ), but it's still kinda injured. Poor thing...I should really treat it better. (to read more, see below the cut)
Anyway, I took it into Best Buy yesterday and -- after getting no help whatsoever from the Geek Squad -- took it to Circuit City a little later. The guy at CC agreed to run an honest-to-God diagnostic on it (meaning they would open it up and everything, which BB flat out REFUSED to do for me) for sixty bucks ( -_-; ) and promised to call me about it twenty-four to forty-eight hours later. I still haven't heard back and, even though I know that I can't be the only person leaving my busted computer in their care, I'm getting a little worried about it. It could easily be more broken than Nic tries to assure me it is and, considering that I have to move into my oncampus apartment this Thursday, I have very little time to either get it fixed or procure a replacement for it before my semester starts.
All in all, very annoying and nerve-wracking. Still, it kinda serves me right for messing everything up in the first place, right? You'd think I'd have learned by now considering I've been through three laptops in the last two years (granted, losing one of them -- which crashed TWICE, btw -- wasn't my fault at all).
The point to all of this is that, if you happen to be a fan of my fanfiction, you're going to have to wait awhile for updates. I really, REALLY wanted to finish "Sexy no Jutsu" quickly so that M-dono could get around to starting the doujinshi for it, but the last two chapters are going to have to wait to be posted due to aforementioned technical difficulties. Not to worry, though, I DO have a backup plan in case I can't afford to fix my computer this time; Nic'll be sending me the first computer I busted (I only broke the screen; long story) and I can buy a cheap monitor for it until I CAN afford to fix the HP (my current, temporarily ill computer).
