This was a brilliant new chapter. As disturbing as always, and so mesmerizing! As always!
Yayyyy! Minion is a daddy... to a set of cannibalistic and non-sentient little monsters...? Can we ask for a refund there?
heh... seriously speaking though, I thought it was a brilliantly disturbing idea to have Minion's little hatchlings revealed to be so creepy and unmanageable. It sets so many questions about how the heck is he supposed to control them, and raise them. he can barely keep them from eating their own mother, so how the heck is he supposed to raise them to be good, productive, happy little Royal-Fish?
It appears that fatherhood is going to bring a heck-load of problems for poor Minion... as well as Sideways.
Speaking of Sideways. I was crying for the poor thing. She's absolutely exhausted to the point where she doesn't care about being eaten by her children?!?? Or perhaps it's those self-destructive instincts in her that are driving her to sacrifice herself for child-nutrition? If that's the case, I'm feeling damned grateful that Minion doesn't share those same self-sacrificing instincts, and is NOT feeling the urge to feed the kids his body parts *shudder* One Minion is worth a heck of a lot more than even 500 of these little baby monsters!!!
Oh, Drooler! The poor... erm... dog-thing? Honestly though, it's horrifying and loathsome seeing the kind of casual cruelty that Tailor inflicts on her creations. Her creatures are intelligent, dammit. Some of them are intelligent to the point of nearly human sentience. And yet she treats them all as disposable toys. Heck, she seems to ENJOY breaking the hurting the poor things.
I loved seeing Tailot from the perspective of one of her less intelligent creations. It really helped to illustrate how she manages to keep their loyalty, despite abusing them to the extent that she does. In the end, she IS their creator, and the only source of food, comfort and shelter that any of them have ever known. Even if there's abuse, harm and pain... then at least she's also the one who fixes them, and makes the pain go away too. You can see how this kind of pain/pleasure principle would help secure their poor, confused loyalty to her.
Excellent chapter. Thank you so much for updating. Please write more!!
