I don't know how often I'll update this, but it's been in my head and I wanted to start somewhere. Rockatoo is only a picture at this point, but I've taken the character and ran with it.

The only appearance of another hero in the artbook that I recall was the white and blue long haired dude fighting Behemoth, so I figured they could use on more to their ranks.
Ironically enough, the story ends with her getting possessed, so this could be how she joins Doom Syndicate :D. Just understand that she won't be followed very heavily in the rest of the story...unless I'm suddenly inspired to write more about her.

I should share that that bit about the split cape was based on the fact that she's patterned off a bird. After looking at the picture again it just looks like the bottom of the single cape is split into feathers. This makes me sad. I can totally BS that the two capes simply overlap but I'm not sure how many liberties I should take with the character.

I've not got the art book, so I haven't got any idea what these characters are other than your excellent descriptions.
I love folk tales. I'm interested in where this does go next, if you have time to continue it.
Funny story: I opened the tab for this, then every time I went to actually read the thing, something would happen, from a bookcase falling over (nothing damaged, but rather unusual) to my cat knocking over my lute (not an unusual occurance) to the light in my bedroom blowing (I guess we have a bad fuse?) to the phone ringing (and I had to go answer it). I have had this tab open for DAYS and not read it. But just now, I had time to do so.

In Oz, a 100 year old house is an unusual beast. We've only been settled by builders for less than 250 years, so most buildings are younger than that. That said, I actually don't consider this house to be all that huanted. Our other family house, out in the mountains, is haunted though. We built the dining hall out of the timbers of an old bridge. So now it's haunted by a semi-trailer truck at 2am some nights. Far more of a relevant concern, although so far the only things the semi has hit have been rats and mice (which we find neatly squished the next morning)....
Anything I can do to keep the shadows at bay?
