I was just wondering if there might be an organization of heroes in the Megamind universe, based on a few observations I've made. One, I saw back in a previous post that someone had blown up the text on the back of "Megamind Unmasked" which turned out to be an excerpt from the book, "The Happiest Me I Can Be" that Metro Man was reading. It mentions hero and villain therapies, which seems to suggest that there is at least a small population of heroes in the world for the book to cater to. Two, in the Metro Man museum when Megamind has his epiphany ("Heroes can be made!"), you can see in the background a little exhibit of statues with the word "HEROES" above it. There's five statues total with the center-most one probably being Metro Man (since it's the biggest and looks like him), and the smaller ones looking decidedly not Metro Man-like (unless Metro Man occasionally dresses in what looks like ancient Roman? Greek? soldier garb). Three, the Doom Syndicate... most villain organizations are usually made up of villains from a variety of different places (ala Legion of Doom) rather than being all from the same place. Villains in the same city (a hero's rogue gallery) sometimes team up, but more often than not, they go solo. My theory for that is those villains usually have a personal vendetta against the hero and don't want anyone beating them to the kill. So, it sounds to me like there's a good chance that each member of the Doom Syndicate has to contend with a hero in their own city.
It does make for some interesting ideas to play with. It's hard to see Metro Man joining a hero organization with all the responsibilities he had, but maybe he would have been kind of like the "Batman" of that organization. Only showing up when he's really needed because his responsibility to Metro City comes first.
