Reading the exact prompts for the advent calender again I think I mis-interpreted what was meant by character play list: instead of selecting songs I thought they would listen to I selected songs that described their character, POV, relationship to another character.
 Ohhh...well.
Psycho Delic:
“Psycho-delic Haze” by Melvins Ok, I can't make out the lyrics worth a sh!t, on the song linked above, but it sounds pretty bad ass.
“Paranoid” by Black Sabbath “Psycho Killer” by Talking Heads “Purple Haze” by Jimmy Hendrix “Toxic Love” from the movie Ferngully. The actual song (linked directly above) doesn't start till ~30 seconds in. This song obviously isn’t a perfect match for PD, but I think this song captures his essential POV on the world and his place in it.
Psycho Delic x Lady Doppler:
“Kiss with a Fist” by Florence and the Machine “Sick Love Song” by Motley Crue “If I told you once…” by Circus Contraption “My Man is a Mean Man” by Stefanie Heinzmann “He Loves Me-He Loves Me Not” by Alsou In retrospect after doing this I think the last song on the PD x LD play list best describes what a possible relationship between them might look like. Lady Doppler can come and go as she pleases. She isn't dependent on him to the degree and the same way that Harley Quin is to the Joker. Perhaps Psycho Delic is one of the few people she can be with because of her status as a criminal and Doom Syndicate member.
I would probably best describe these songs as a sound track to my fanfic "Savin' Me." A lot of these songs have a romantic subtext to them, but "Kat" my OC and Music Man ARE NOT A ROMANTIC PAIRING. It's really hard or impossible to find songs that exemplify a father/daughter, mentor/student relationship.
Kat & Music Man
“Because of You” by Kelly Clarkson “Save Me” by Aimee Mann “The Sun Is Rising” by Britt Nicole “Safe” by Britt Nicole “Lean On Me” by Bill Withers “I’d Come For You” by Nickelback “Busted Heart (Hold Onto Me)” by Kings & Country “No Looking Back” by Damita “Home” by Phillip Phillips “Take These Broken Wings” by Mr Mister “Ho Hey” by Lumineers Inspiration for future chapters perhaps...?
“Let Love In” by the Goo Goo Dolls “All That You Are” by the Goo Goo Dolls I'm working on a fanfic that explores how Metro Man's death impacted my OC and explores the relationship Kat has with the rest of her family. I think these songs capture the emotion of the story I am trying to write.
“Run To You” by Roxette “Concrete Angel” by Martina McBride “Everywhere” by Michelle Branch “Tom’s Diner” by Suzanne Vega
