Delightful! And you've got our young protagonists appropriately panicking when they find the badge instead of thinking things through as more experienced criminals would. Now I want to see what sort of super Shadow is that he can bust out of Minion's grip like that, and what his relationship with the local cops is. Will he co-operate or will he keep up his criminal persona to avoid jeopardizing the federal investigation he's running?

Sorry it took so long to reply! The weekend was insanely busy.
Yes, I figured that panic was a believable reaction. An older, more experienced Megamind might've been startled, but would quickly begin scheming, calculating...

Actually, Shadow broke free with a combination of desperation and secret government-style martial arts training. Yeah, that's it. :) As for co-operating with law enforcement, well, we'll see!

Oooooh, look at Minion getting all badass! The plot thickens and what was once a simple story of Megamind spreading his wings gets a lot more complex here. I'm so ungodly curious. Who are these feds? What do they want with that case? And what will happen to our intrepid duo? I know it took me forever to read this but don't keep us waiting to long for the next installment!

I'm so sorry it took so long to respond. The stomach flu paid a visit to our house recently. :P

Once Minion realized that Megamind was determined to go through with the confrontation, he figured he better go forward full force! I imagined that Megamind would probably have given him a little pep talk on the drive to Shadow's place, as well. Perhaps I should have included that as a scene. *shrug* Oh well!

I'm hoping it won't take too long to update, too! I will do my best to squeeze in more writing time.
