Minion Figure and Megamind Cosplay Update

Aug 13, 2012 21:09

Because of the local comic con over the weekend I was scrambling to get everything done (Is a terrible procrastinator) in time, so my apologies for not answering comments or fixing the pictures on the Minion post.

Took these with my stepmom's camera, so that you guys can actually SEE Minion this time.

There's definitely a few places where I need to be more careful about the paint, but honestly, he looks pretty good. And I took these pictures after comic con, so it's obvious how well he holds up to be worn. A full day of bouncing around on my chest and Minion isn't chipped, scuffed, or damaged at all.

As I said before, these are open for commissions. Ten dollars for any expression or custom Minion you want.

Not too many heavy changes on this, just several cosmetic things fixed. I remembered to draw on the goatee and darken my eyebrows, so now it actually looks right. I added a strap inside the head to help keep it in place, which didn't work so well. The back of the strap slid off my head after an hour or two, so while the head prop didn't wobble this time, it still bruised my ears. I got heavier gauge wire to hold up the brainbot, extended the power wire so that there isn't that ugly black box attached to the support wire this time, and painted the eye stalk. And, obviously, Minion is hanging around my neck.

This would be the costume that had me scrambling and being MIA online, Richard from Looking For Group. That would be my younger cousin standing next to me.  I was Prison!Megamind on Thursday and Richard on Saturday. Still trying to catch up on my sleep from everything, but it was worth it.
