The bookstore at the newly renovated Megamind Museum had been closed for repairs for some time (following an . . . "incident" . . . allegedly involving Metro City's former, blue supervillain-turned-hero). However, I'm happy to announce that, effective immediately, its doors are open, the books are back on the shelves, and the new brainbot staff is ready to help you find whatever you might need!
Which is basically my fancy way of saying that the comm's
Memories now has an alphabetical list of all the stories ever posted here. Currently, there are an amazing 1,820 (and counting!) fanfiction entries, which have been sorted and catalogued in an effort to organize all the submitted Megamind stories - and to help readers locate old favorites as well as new!
Read on if you're interested in the specifics. (Such as ratings, author, and organizational information.)
And do keep a sharp eye on the brainbot staff, if you would. They're here to "help," but really they just like to move stuff!
Additional Information about the 'Megamind Museum Bookshop'
- This archive includes a combination of fic posts, fic links, and specific fic recs that were made directly to the
megamind_movie community. ALL submitted stories are meant to be included. (Which means this is not a personal rec list. It is a way to document each fanfiction posted to this community.)
- Stories are listed alphabetically by the first word in their title. (Since Memory categories are limited to only 40 characters, some of the longer titles needed to be shortened or slightly abbreviated. I always tried to maintain as much of the original title as possible.)
- When browsing, or looking for something specific, keep in mind that LJ Memories are CAPS- and symbol-sensitive. (In other words, titles that contain symbols, numbers, and several capital letters in a row will show up sooner on the list.)
- Each entry includes title, author, rating, date of posting, and the number of posts made for that story. (The number of entries does not necessarily reflect the number of actual chapters that exist - simply the number of posts an author made for his/her story.)
- If a community member linked to a story hosted exclusively at ff.net (or a similar site), and all chapters are accessible through that link, there is only one entry for that story. (The first entry the author made at the comm.) However, if parts of the fic are also hosted on LJ (either in a personal journal or directly at the
megamind_movie Community), then there are individual entries for all the individual posts made.
- Since many writers prefer to rate their stories on a chapter-by-chapter basis, several fics have a great deal of fluctuation in their ratings. Keeping up with those changes occasionally proved very difficult and time-consuming. (Especially for fics that were very long and involved numerous chapters, each with a different rating.) Therefore, only increases in rating are indicated in the archive. (For example, if a story is PG-13 in one chapter and G in the next, the move will not be specifically labeled. If, however, the story later becomes R or NC-17, the rating shift will be indicated.) Be sure to read the individual authors' notes for further information if desired.
- Some stories were not given ratings at all by their respective authors. Unfortunately, I have not had the privilege of reading every story posted on the comm, nor did I have the opportunity to do so as I catalogued them. So I had to take my best guess at the rating if none was provided (based on a quick scan of the fic, as well as the story's summary). Most of the time I chose to err on the side of PG, since that was the rating of our original source material, but if anyone notices any stories that should be drastically different, please let me know.
- In the rare case where more than one story has the same title, both stories are listed under the same category. They are separated by author, and listed chronologically in the order of the writer who posted the story to the comm first.
- Untitled stories are listed under the same category and are, likewise, separated by author. If an author who wrote an untitled story later wishes to title it (so it would be located in its own category), please notify me of the change and I'll update the list.
- If you notice that anything has been "shelved" incorrectly or mislabeled somehow please bring it to my attention. Megamind's brainbots are pranksters and like to move things on me! (Or, you know, I just clicked on the wrong button.)
- Likewise, if you see that anything is missing, please let me know! I went through nearly every post made to the community to make certain I didn't omit anything, but not every fic was clearly labeled (or it may have been hidden in a post that included additional content). So something could have slipped through the cracks. If you do notice an error or an omission, comment here or send me a PM. I'll fix it ASAP.
So enjoy, my incredibly handsome friends! And happy reading! Along with the community's various helpful tags, hopefully this will provide yet another means of easily locating our favorite Megamind stories, as well as finding new, undiscovered gems!
(Seriously, you guys. I was blown away by the number of stories posted here! Just shy of 2,000 entries - that's pretty epic! Well done, Community. Well done.)
I'll continue to update the list as new fics appear in the comm. So keep those stories coming!
Once again, Memories can be found:
HERE.

PS - Thank you,
fairest1 and
filthy_animal, for giving me the opportunity to do this for the comm! :)
