The Necroambulist predicament (chapter 6)
Finally, I can update! Me and my family went to Michigan to visit relatives and I haven't been able to go online because they don't believe in computers or laptops. I WAS SO BORED!! But some good came out of it. :) I got to ski for the first time, then again it was more of me falling down hills than skiing XD me and my klutzy self. Anyway, I hope you all had a good Christmas. So without farther ado, here's chapter six.

I cried for all the broken families. I cried for my kidnappee. I cried for all the sorrow everyone went through and I cried because I know that I am the one who did it. All because an experiment went missing, I am now one of the only beings left alive and untouched by the virus.

When they got to the Albertsons parking lot, Megamind quickly parked. He let go of the wheel and lied back, staring at the roof of the car. He heard Roxanne shuffle around in the backseat.
“Megamind, are you okay?”
He was fine, just a little tired. He looked back at her.
“Im fine”
They left minion and the baby in the car while they got what they needed, not a very smart thing to do. Then again what choice did they have? He walked to the door, cautiously peeking through the glass. There wasn’t anything in the store at all; it’s as if it was never a store in the first place.
He was about to tell Roxanne that they had to go somewhere else but when he saw her he froze and stopped breathing. She was looking around the parking lot. The dusk set a glow around them and it did beautiful things to her. She looked simply stunning, standing there in the orange glow, her bottom lip pouted slightly. He would give anything to suck that bottom lip into his mouth. She must have noticed his ogling stare because she smiled mischievously at him. Without hesitation he stalked up to her and pulled her flush against him. She squeaked and wiggled a moment before he put a hand on her mouth. She looked back up at him curiously, he smirked at her. It was nice to have her pressed up against him like this, he felt something wet and warm trail along his palm. Her tongue! He gasped and looked at her with a shocked expression, her gaze met his, and he couldn’t help but notice her dilated pupils, an obvious sign of arousal. She did it again, slowly touching her wet tongue to his palm. His breathing became erratic, and his heart was beating frantically in his ears. He was positive that she heard it. He let out a choked moan when she did it again, his knees buckled. She smiled against his hand. He couldn’t take it anymore, his hand on her mouth flew to the back of her neck, and he crushed his lips to hers. She let out a sound of surprise before slowly melting into him. He swiped his tongue along her bottom lip and retreated back into his own mouth. She wound her arms around his neck, and trailed her nails down the base of his head and neck. He whimpered and pulled her more firmly against him. She got bolder and captured his bottom lip, sucking on it then letting it go with a popping sound. He growled and took control of the situation, backing her up against the wall. She put her leg around his, and……
“Megamind, why are you staring at me?”
He shook himself out of his day dream, blushing furiously. He stammered,
“I-uh- I’m sorry, I was…”
“Fantasizing” She supplied with a teasing smile.
He blushed once more. Damn, this temptress is on to me!
“N-No I was just going to -um- tell you something, but I got distracted”
“By…” She prompted with the same teasing expression.
“You” He mumbled to the ground.
“Oh, really?”
He looked up and she was still smirking. She heard what he said!
“I-I mean, the store is empty; we should probably go check the K-mart over there” He turned and ran awkwardly towards it.

She giggled and followed him. They walked around the building, and she heard a noise on the other side that sounded a lot like glass shattering. He gestured for Roxanne to get behind him before he peeked around the corner of the building into the ally that separated the two stores. She did the same. There were three zombies stumbling around. He hissed a curse. She slumped against the wall. How were they supposed to get over there now? She noticed a few baseball bats in the K-mart parking lot, why they were there? She’ll never know. He must have noticed too because he whispered,
“There are some baseball bats over there; if we make a mad dash towards them, we might be able to use the bats to kill them”
She looked at him with her lip worried between her teeth “What if we attract others?” He shook his head at her.
“We won’t, they are attracted to blood, movement, and sound” He shifted “considering neither of us seem to be bleeding and there are only three of them near us, we should be okay”
He started to get ready to run but turned back to her with a playful grin “I never thought I’d say this but, don’t scream” She smirked evilly at him at him and said shamelessly “Megamind, if you can’t get me to scream, no one can” She knew she was flirting with him. She didn’t have a reputation to uphold anymore, so she was going to give in to her urges damn it! He blushed adorably and turned around again, she smiled smugly. I got you, blue boy.
He leaped forward and sprinted towards their target, she followed. She skid to a stop and quickly grabbed a bat. When she turned around the zombies had their black, hungry eyes trained on them. She looked at Megamind with a worried expression, he nodded reassuringly. She ran towards the closest one, the bat held over her head. The zombie tried to swipe at her but she smashed its head before it could move. It took one more step then dropped to the ground. She fought the urge to gag, the smell wasn’t like anything she had ever smelt, it made her eyes water. Megamind was doing the same with the other one. Where’s the third one?! She was about to ask him when the other zombie came out of nowhere and knocked the bat out of Megamind’s hands. Its clothes were all torn up and half of its face was just raw flesh. He tried to grab the bat, but the zombie moved faster than a zombie should be capable of and Megamind was pushed to the ground. The zombie crawled over him and attempted to bite his neck and shoulders. Megamind held its head away with his hands as he writhed on the ground in desperate attempts to get it off. He tried to kick the zombie off him, but it had his legs pinned down, she moved into action. She swung at its side with barbaric strength. The zombie flew off Megamind and collided with the building, it fell in a crumpled heap on the pavement. She wasn’t done yet. She ran over to it, smashing its body with the bat, whenever it made contact she heard a sickening crunch. She felt arms embrace her from behind, effectively making her drop the bat. She panted and put her arms on top of the ones that covered her midsection. She calmed down and looked at the blue arms under her peach colored ones. They were silent for a while; she could only hear their breathing. She almost fell to the ground when she felt his warm breath on her ear as he spoke.
“I’m not sure if you were hoping candy would come out of that or not” She smiled “But I think its dead now”
He nuzzled her neck and she gasped, blushing. She felt his lips brush the back of her neck as he whispered “thank you”.
She leaned back into him slightly when he pressed a kiss to the spot where her neck met her shoulder. She felt his nose trail up the back of her neck and she heard him inhale deeply. He was smelling her! She closed her eyes and hummed with approval when he trailed soft kisses up the back of her neck. How the hell did he go from shy and cute, to bold and sexy in less than ten minuets? He spoke huskily “I like it when you’re all angry” another kiss “it’s sexy” She shuddered when she felt his tongue touch her neck, traveling up to her ear. She was breathing very loudly, she knew he could hear it, but at this point she didn’t care. This man has no idea what he does to her; she thinks her heart is having palpitations. His warm arms left hers and he stepped back abruptly, making her step back too so she wouldn’t fall. Her eyes widened. Did that just happen? She turned around and stared at him with a shocked expression. He smirked smugly at her. Smug bastard. She felt heat pool in her lower belly when his eyes skimmed up and down her form longingly, the smirk widened. He stepped closer to her and she watched him intently.
"You seem a little flushed" he whispered, his green eyes staring into hers knowingly.
"Damn you" she hissed slightly as she felt one of his fingers trail up her side and back down to her hip.
His lips quirked and he traced a circle on her hip. She felt that his eyes were staring into her soul. She opened her mouth to say something but he had leaned forward and brushed his lips against hers. He whispered against her mouth "we need to get back to Minion before he has a panic attack".
She let out the breath she was holding and nodded. He stepped away from her, sauntering towards the store. He turned to look at her.
“Can you guard the entrance?” She nodded again.
He spun around and broke the glass window, walking inside. She bit her lip and held in a squeal. Since the first kidnapping, she knew she was attracted to him. She never considered him sexually until kidnapping #104 though. That was when he had forgotten that there was a kidnapping that day. She woke up in the chair, but no one was around. Then Megamind randomly came into her line of sight, wearing nothing but a towel. He was obviously unaware of her sitting there because he just sat down in his leather chair, typing away on his theater like monitor. She had gotten quite an eyeful of his bare back, he looked skinny, but he was definitely had muscle. He looked hot, with a capital H! When she spoke, he jumped about a foot in the air and screamed. Ever since that day she had fantasized about him in her dreams. She knew that it was wrong for her to want him, but she didn’t care. She never made a move before because she knew that they could never be together, he was a villain and she just wasn’t that type of girl. But now there is nothing in her way, he’s not a villain anymore and she isn’t a reporter. They are just a man and a woman fighting to stay alive. She sat down on the ground and watched the lot for any unwanted movement. She jumped when she saw someone walk towards her, she calmed when she recognized Megamind. It was already dark out and she could barely make out his face. She got up and helped him carry the stuff; he had some canned food, water bottles, and baby supplies. She also couldn’t help but notice the clothes. As if he knew what she was going to ask, he said,
“I got you some clothes so you wouldn’t have to wear the same thing, I also got the baby some too” She wondered how he knew her size, wait, he kidnapped her on a regular basis, surely he knew what size clothes she wears. She smiled gratefully at him “Thanks”. He grinned back at her and they headed towards the car. When they got in, she heard Minion huff.
“Finally, what took you guys so long?” They shared a small smile.
“Nothing” they answered simultaneously, Minion eyed them skeptically before handing the baby to Roxanne.
They got back on the highway and headed towards Eureka, Megamind kept glancing at her in the mirror. About an hour down the highway they had cornfields on either side of them; there were also some nice farmhouses. She looked pleadingly at Megamind, he shook his head firmly.
“We can’t stop here, its way too close to town”
She sighed and fed the baby with the new bottle that Megamind got, she had no idea he even knew anything about babies. He would make a great father, She mused. She looked up to see a dark figure in the middle of the road in front of them. Minion looked at Megamind with wide eyes; I could feel chills wrack through my body. Was it a zombie? Megamind stopped a good two hundred feet away from it. He slowly stopped, the car was silent. The only thing she could hear was the cicadas and the breeze. They were barely breathing, watching the figure with wide, fear filled eyes. From what she could see, it was just standing there, not moving at all. Megamind turned the car back on, and the sudden noise made her jump. The baby in her arms shifted and cooed softly. He put the car in drive and gunned it, omigod he was actually going to run it over! She held the baby safely against her chest and hoped for the best. They raced towards it; the flash of the head light revealed that it was a female zombie. She was one of the new ones by the look of her. They hit it with a loud thump, the body flew over the windshield and landed somewhere behind them. They kept going, but slowed down once they realized that they were far enough away. As they drove the corn fields turned into forests once they got to northern Illinois. She fell asleep with the baby in her lap. She was jerked awake when Megamind pulled over into some trees, probably hiding the car. She glance in the passenger seat, Minion was still sleeping. She shivered, it was freezing out here. Megamind opened the door and got out, he was back five minuets later, but he didn’t get back in the drivers side. He slipped into the seat next to her and pulled her against him without a word. She tensed, but soon molded into his side. He’s so warm. He put the baby in the basket on the other side of him. He turned and laced his fingers through hers, an unspoken promise. He wouldn’t let anything happen to them. She laid her head on his shoulder and he settled his head on hers. I wonder what my sister will think of this. She felt him squeeze her hand gently before she drifted off.
