I finally got around to making Fancards!
I tried to make only one, but I couldn't choose between our terrific trio. I thought about making one more with a brainbot falling in love in a slot machine, but since it is a PG movie I didn't want to push the gambling angle. It's probably bad enough that drew Minion as a high roller (complete with visor and bling) ;) . To those who were able to hunt down blue stationary, I applaud you but it was just easier for me to buy the standard 5X6 post card.
I'm really proud of how Minion came out, and Megamind is a close second. Roxanne is ok, not my best but not my worst either. Of course with anything I don't scan into the computer, they're little mistakes that drive me crazy but hey they're already on their way to DW.
And to state the obvious, yes stalkers friends I live in Vegas. But according to the census bureau there's over 2 million people here, not counting tourists, so good luck finding me creepers.
Which got me thinking (and comm stalkers, this might appeal to you guys). One of the quirks about an actual postcard is that you don't have to write a return address. Sure if someone really tried to trail a postcard back to its sender they might get as far as the post office it was mailed from, but unless you sign your name to it there is a little anonymity involved. It also means that more people might get involved in the fancard project. Now I don't mean to highlight this fact because I think the comm stalkers are cowards or anything like that, but I was bullied as a kid for being too smart and nerdy. I know what it feels like to not want to draw attention to anything that you think other people may find socially weird. So postcards instead of blue envelopes might be a good way of showing DW how much you like Megamind while keeping you're own secret identity. =D
Just an idea... *shrugs*
