Wiki Page, good or bad idea? Please answer the poll below

I just got an idea and I was wondering what you all would think.
I create a wiki page for Megamind and give everyone the password so you can type up your own stuff? I have read an entry about how the Megamind wiki up on wikipedia already is crap. You could add whatever you want and say whatever you want. It would just be awesome!

I don't think wikis work like that. o_o Wiki's typically are user-edited, not just by the moderator account.

I do believe you're right. And thus I think it may not be such a hot idea. When something of this sort already exists, to set up another page, if one even can, rather than work to edit what's already there is to invite the beginnings of hostility. And even working within the existing wiki pages, there is a LOT of fighting going on between factions with different opinions. I would sooner attempt to correct the existing page - which should strive for factual information, unless it's a compendium of fanon - than create another. But people will do what they do. Shrug.

Hrm, it would be interesting to see if we could do it within-community, as well... Like, set up more tags (wiki-specific) and do it here. XD

I wonder...

As for the existing wiki, from what I saw, they were deleting legit info and replacing it with unrealistic fanon and OCs. But I could be wrong... it's been forever!

Hey Filthy, Well I am after getting a message from wiki saying that the page I have up is up for deletion because its about a club group that doesnt really have anything to do with the subjet....???? I havent a clue so Im going to create a new one. Yes, that would be a fantastic idea to have it within the community!

Yes if we can figure out how to make it work, that would be awesome. The sad thing is that I had so much written on that page and it got deleted! :'( Ugh. So annoying. It said that the page was about a group or club that didnt have anything to do with the subject. It send me a letter with something like that. Stupid wiki. Always making things complicated! :(
