Adventures in Baking: Day 3- GANAAAACHE!
OMG, this is going by way fast. It's only been the third day and I feel like it's been longer. Today we finished the brownies we made yesterday by making Ganache to top them with. Ganache is like....I guess chocolate Icing...that's the closest thing I can think of. But all it is is cream and chocolate, really easy ^_^ so now I have an icing recipe I can make on the fly. Yay. But Gah! CONSTANTLY had to resist urge to lick my fingers. Not good hygien and all....so much chocolate, seemed like such a wasit just to wipe hands on my towle T_T *sigh*
After we finished the brownies we jumped right into cookies. Everything is so fast paced. And they cram in a lot into one day. On top of everything they have the whole safty and sanitation section thrown in there too. >_< wahhaaa! But it's FUN ^_^ the Chef instructors are sooo crazy and out there and at the same time so serious and down to earth. But it's been crazy, cause on the second day our regular instructor has been out sick with strep throat XP so we've had diffrent instructors filling in and it's kinda thrown everything of >.< He'll be back I guess Monday and then everything will get back on track...I hope.
