Whew, its been a long day. Aside from my usual awkwardness, my first day at Starbucks yesterday was great. I think I'm going to love it there! All the people seemed cool and genuinely happy to be at work. I just hope I can do a good job! I'm also impressed by all the training I'm getting. Today they sent me to this training center in Dallas. It went from 9 to 2 with no lunch break (ugh...), but other than that the class was good. I'm learning so much about coffee! It makes me feel good that they invest so much in training their "partners" (I'm gonna have to get used to calling them partners, instead of employees). Did you know that Starbucks spends more money on training than advertising?
After work yesterday I was picking up Jenna's birthday present when I stupidly locked myself out of my car...when it was still running >< My little sister came to rescue me, though. After that little adventure, I still made it to Jenna's surprise birthday party in time. After hanging out at her house for a while, we went out and saw 1408. It was really nice seeing everybody, but now the introvert in me is exhausted with training and everything. I would sorta rather stay home and sleep instead of going out on this double date with Erick.
