Wildwood, NJ 2007
I've been back from New Jersey for almost a week now, so I guess I should update a little about it. Hmm, let's see...
I spent most of the week down on the beach with my family. Luckily my sunburn went away before I left on Sunday. While on the beach, I barely burnt at all, which was good. I even got a little bit of a tan! :O That really is like a miracle for me. I usually just fry. XD Anyway, most of the week was spent down on the beach. The weather was okay. It ended up being pretty overcast for most of the week, so it wasn't really sunny. And the waves were pretty big~
The downside of the week came on Tuesday. That day, high tide came in while we were on the beach. I wasn't expecting it to come up that high that quickly... but it did. I had my backpack on the sand next to my chair while I was reading, and the next thing I knew, the water had come up over it. ><; In a panic, I reached over to pull it out of the water, and in the process, I knocked my cell off the chair into the wet sand. I didn't realize it right away, but turns out, both my camera and my phone got ruined that day. When my phone fell into the sand, something happened to the front screen, and now it's just blank. Well, not blank, but blue. It works for a few seconds when I turn my phone on, but then it dies again. But at least the phone itself still works. If my phone had completely died, drummershuff/Matt wouldn't have been able to call as much as he has been lately. Four times in the past week! And one of those was while I was down in NJ. ♥ My camera, however, is completely wrecked. I just bought the thing not even two months ago. ><;; Sand got all inside it, and the lens no longer opens up. It's awful. Thankfully my dad offered to buy me a new one. I feel bad about that, but I can't afford one myself. RIP, pretty pink camera. ._.
Other than the beach, I spent a lot of the week shopping on the boardwalk. I got some new pink sunglasses, a wallet, some cute pink shorts, a sundress, some bathing suits, and a pink hoodie. <3 We also went bowling one night. That was pretty fun. I won both games. Though my mom and sister were pretty awful. Another day we went mini golfing. It was pirate mini golf! And it was under a black light, so everything glowed in the dark. It was fun! And, of course, I won that too. XD On Friday night, we went and saw some fireworks on the beach. And... that was the end of my vacation, pretty much. XD
When I arrived home on Saturday afternoon, I found that my package from Matt had arrived! Yes, package. XD; It was full of some very random things, a nice long letter, and a cute little orangutan plushie. ^^ Thanks so much for everything, Matt. I love you! ♥
Um, since I've been home, I haven't done much. Just babysat, really. Summer's going to end pretty soon, so I should probably start working on my room. Eww. x_x
And not that anyone cares, but I wanna talk about it anyway, tonight was the finale to So You Think You Can Dance. I am sooooooo glad Sabra beat Danny. I hated him. I wish Neil had won though. I liked him. He was awesome~
