Natural Disasters.....

So, it's about time I change the pace of this and speak of something a little less known about myself.

I'm a total wuss. Sometimes, not all the time though.

But if there has EVER been one thing to scare me it has been Space itself. I'm mainly talking about Meteors, comets, asteroids. I guess it's mainly the fact that we really don't know whats going on out there what with blindspots between the telescopes and we can only see so far.
(As well as the fear of being launched into space with no way of coming back)

Of course, I'm hoping this never happens during my lifetime. Although I kind wish it would because it would be neat to experience something like that considering how the earth would get totally obliterated by an extinction level event rock due to the fact that we would have no way to stop it, I doubt any type of destructive warhead would destroy it or alter its course if it were over 100 meters.

Which brings me to my next subject, I saw my long time favorite Natural Disaster movies of "Armageddon" and "Deep Impact". Now, I've been Armageddon so many god awful times and loved every minute of it. But if I had to choose between the two, I would have to say "Deep Impact" was the better due to the fact it was more accurate scientifically.

Now, it's been forever since I even last saw "Deep Impact". I only saw it once when it first came out in the movie theatres back in 1998 and I barely remembered any of it if at all. So, today I rented it from the movie store and went to my parents place to watch it on their surrond sound system.

Needless to say, I had fun watching the movie.

Not many people know it but I'm a sucker for the type of movies "Deep Impact" and "Armageddon" are. When it would get to the emotional parts of the movie my eyes watered up like someone threw sand it my eyes. I really like to get into those type of movies. I almost nearly wept at some of the scenes because they were just so moving. I think I might see it again later.
