So I've worked 24 hours in the last four days. one out of my last four days was spent working. i get tip share tommorow. money. i'll probly become a workaholic. seeing as i could see myself doing nothing better with my life than making money. it's sad the view I have on life

The reason people write "controversial" things in their LJ is because the point of life is to Live, Love, Learn, and Die.
The LJ part was about learning-and with debates and controversial subjects- all readers have an opprotunity to learn something new--but to learn something new you usually need a teacher- thus the writer.
Writing controversial things in LJ may be a contest to you, but to others it's a service and a duty to your readers.
The reason people dont write about their day is because its usually nothing new. It tends to be "gah I hate my teacher" or I have a shit load of homework" no one wants to read it because those are normal everyday events. And if they arent normal everyday events--then the writer probably doesnt want the whole world to know about it (thats what best friends are for.)
I think its funny how you said

if its not substantial then it isnt good-because substantial means good

the way your using it it would be like saying someone has a nice truck would be
that truck is substantial.
subsatantial is an opinionative word, its only substantial if someone thinks it is, to one person it could be just like everyone else, to others it could be substantial.
the rest is your opinion and i don't agree with basically any of it and thats it. i don't plan to teach anyone anything with my livejournal. its a livejournal.
