*X was walking through the white hallways, searching. Every door he comes to, he pauses to look inside. He knows Zero is looking for a repair bay already, but he can't just relax like Zero wanted him to. Not while Zero is hurt and needs repairs.
So, here he is, searching for a repair bay, or just tools and spare parts he can use.*

...The familiar-yet-different armor causes him to start, and his eyes narrow as he pulls up the observational data he's collected on other robots he's met and runs a few quick comparisons.
The style is distinctly Light's, but anyone with eyes could see that. A few details line up with the more advanced design he saw in Zero, however... and this robot is definitely a different model than the Rock he knows. Could he be...?
A smirk touches Forte's lips, and he slips back out of sight into the narrow hallway. He's certainly willing to make a bet or two.
Quickly scanning the hallway, he notes that it's small, narrow, and a dead-end, with some random large crates stacked in the back of it. Perfect. If luck is with him, the area will remain more or less the same for the few moments he needs to confirm his suspicions, and if they're correct, pull this off.
Forte grins quickly to himself before plastering a somewhat serious look on his face and darting back into the main hall to catch up to X.
"Hey, you! Blue kid!"

He glances around behind himself, but no one else is around. X turns back toward the slightly shorter android and smiles.*
Ah, hello. Do you mean me?
Reply
"Are you busy? I could use a little help with something, and there's no one else around in this stupid place."
Reply
Ah, I'm kind of looking for a repair bay right now. But I'm not too busy if you need help.
*He holds out his hand with a smile.*
My name's X.
Reply
"Forte." He doesn't see any reason not to give his real designation - after all, if his guess is right, X won't recognize him any more than Zero had. He shakes the hand, quickly and gruffly. Eugh, well, do what you gotta, right?
"A repair bay? Haven't seen one." And if Forte had any say, X wouldn't find one.
"I was looking for parts - I got attacked by a rogue robot a little while ago and my support unit took the brunt of the damage. I found some crates in that hall over there that might have some, but my buster's offline and I can't move 'em on my own." Because of course Forte's first solution to opening crates is to blast them open.

X idly wonders if Forte knows Rock, but his musing is derailed.*
What? A rogue robot? Is it still around?
*He looks around in concern, then looks Forte over, worried.*
...If you're damaged, I can try to repair you. I'm pretty good at repairing androids. If you've found parts, I'm sure I can help! Your support unit, too.
*X smiles warmly and reassuringly.*
Don't worry! Of course I'll help. If they're too heavy for both of us to move, we can just pry the tops off.

"Damned if I know," Forte huffed. "It took off before I could beat its face in. I got a few fried non-vital circuits from an electrical attack, but nothing I can't rewire later." Yeah, something that wouldn't be immediately visible, plus it would probably earn him brownie points for appearing to put the alleged support unit before his own repair. Really, this was too easy!
"Oh, that would be great! The crates I saw are right over there!" Forte pointed towards the narrow hallway, with a smile that was just one shade vicious. X was falling for his little fib hook, line, and soon enough sinker!
Reply
*X smiled, relieved that the parts were so close. He hoped the support unit wasn't too badly hurt. And maybe he could use some leftover parts for Zero, too.
But...*
How badly hurt is your support unit?
*As he started for the hallway, X frowned slightly, still worried. A rogue robot wandering around could hurt anyone it came across.*
Maybe after we fix you and your support unit up, my friend and I can help track down that rogue robot before it hurts anyone else...
Reply
"A couple of legs blown off. His vital sections are intact, but just barely." A bit of a grimace crossed Forte's face - it was hard not thinking of that actually happening to Gospel, and if Forte had a say, it never actually would.
The thought helped his acting, though.
"I'm sure as hell up for some vengeance! Your friend had better be able to kick some ass against that thing, but I'm getting the last word! Now... how about getting these stupid crates open?"
Reply
X, of course, was oblivious to the scrutiny.*
Oh, the poor guy... It must be a really vicious rogue robot. But don't worry, Forte! We'll get him fixed up. And maybe if there are enough parts, I can upgrade his armor a bit. So next time he won't take so much damage.
*X smiles reassuringly over his shoulder at Forte.*
Zero's one of the best fighters I know! We can definitely handle that robot together.
*X gave him a thumbs up and a smile before heading over to check out the closest crate.*
Hm. I think we can pry the top off...

"Funny you should mention him! That's just what I wanted to hear..." Forte grabbed X's left arm roughly - the one he knew Rock tended to favor as his buster arm - and yanked the other robot back towards him so he could growl effectively in his ear.
"Because I must confess, I always did prefer opening cans to crates!" With that, a white Tengu Blade flared to life from his other arm's buster, and he jammed it hard into the small of X's back where he wore only the bodysuit. Forte followed it up by wrenching the blade upwards, slicing through more of X's back and some of his armor.
It wouldn't hit anything vital, but Forte didn't want it to. He needed X good, alive, and mangled. What better Zero bait could there possibly be?

He'd been completely caught off guard. Even as his systems flashed warnings at him, he couldn't quite believe he'd just been stabbed. Why? Why would he do this?!
He staggered, trying to pull away and turn to face Forte.*
Fuh- Forte...?
*He could taste his own blood in the back of his throat as he held up one hand as if to halt him or in defense.*

"You make this too easy! I guess Light didn't learn his lesson the first time I pulled a fast one and programmed you just as stupid, huh? Too bad for you, but this time I'm after a bit more than a few schematics!" Forte started moving towards X again as he finished speaking, jumping into the air.
Better stay on your toes, X, because that's an energy-charged overhead kick aimed straight for you.

*X broke off as Forte leaped at him. With a cry he ducked forward into a roll under Forte's kick, pain flaring up across his back as he left fluids smeared on the floor. He lurched to his feet beyond Forte, spinning to face him again. His right arm was clenched in a fist, though he still hesitated to form his buster.*
St-Stop, Forte! I don't want to fight you!
*He took another step back, wincing at the pain up his back.*
Reply
He was hoping to get a good angle to aim at X's wound - far be it for Forte to play fair!

He jumped off the wall to try to dodge, but wasn't fast enough to avoid the leading edge of the burst of rapid fire shots. He cried out again as he was clipped across the back and hip, knocking him back to hit the ground. He landed with another yelp, but scrambled back to his feet with a grimace of pain.*
Why are you doing this? Have you gone maverick?!
*He held a hand to his side where one of Forte's shots had scorched through his bodysuit. He could feel his blood slicking his hand and could taste it in his mouth.
He knew he'd have to fight back. But he didn't want to fight him! He didn't want to kill him! He wasn't infected! He'd know if he was!*
