[Yup, he's still here, hopelessly lost and drifting around aimlessly, wearing an expression of disapproval. He's keeping a baleful eye out for the crazies that went after him before. It would be too much to ask that any one of his own men would appear, of course... At this moment, he'd even welcome a Hunter just for the sake of conversational ( Read more... )

You're not going to find anyone.

[eye narrowing in further wary- but it certainly appears he did find someone, unless he's now hallucinating voices and data signatures too!]

Given you're the first person I've seen in about a month, I would be inclined to agree. But since you're here, kindly tell me what in the name of all that's reasonable is this place?

Ha! Who knows? Maybe it's a prison. Everyone's thrown together, allowed to build up a sense of unity, then torn apart again. It's genius!

[Wary is probably a good stance to adopt for this one, Lumine. Whether or not he's a hallucination, he's certainly crazy enough to be one.]

I just use the same one all the time because Lumine's expression SO RARELY changes. ha! irregularlight October 22 2009, 17:01:53 UTC
[Lumine recognizes the body-type of this Reploid- it's another like the one that attacked him on initial arrival. He's seriously beginning to wonder if all Reploids from the future era have been driven mad. And if that's true, what does that mean for his mission in the present and his goals for the people?

He'll definitely be wary and speak soft and careful. He's not weak, but not eager for more battle, either.]

A prison would be plausible, but then I would expect more guards and more interference. Will you tell me who you are?

Who needs guards when there's nowhere to escape? I might tell you who I am if you're any different than the rest of the scum left to rot here.

It is physically impossible to create a container that encompasses all dimensions of space and time. An escape route may not be obvious, may even be very well camoflaged, may be actively defended, but I refuse to believe there is no escape route.

It's not open to us. We're dropped here and pulled away as it pleases. You can look until you fall apart, but it's not for you. Whether it exists or not is irrelevant!

Hm.

The obvious and expected response would certainly be despair and madness, then. I refuse.

Success is determined by those who prove the impossible to be possible.

[The entirety of his speech has been peppered with laughter, but that just cracks him up. Whether it's derisive or amused or just plain batshit is anyone's guess.]

You don't put people in a prison because you want them to go insane. You put them there because they've committed a crime. But you've got spirit, haven't you? Redefining reality. That should be fun!

So you believe this is a prison for those who have done wrong.

[that's a very dry smile in return, arms folding over his chest.]

There is more than one kind of morality. And there is such a thing as justified action against oppression. "Wrong" and "right" are just not that simple.

Have as many philosophy discussions with the walls as you want. It doesn't change that you're here.

[his eye narrows again.]

You're right- it doesn't. But doing nothing just isn't the way I do things.

This was a useful conversation. I thank you.

Ha! You're very welcome.

[Oddly enough, Lumine reminds him of himself about a century and a half ago. So convinced that if he tried, an immediate solution would present itself. He breaks into laughter again, obviously not caring that he's laughing at nothing to Lumine's eyes.]

[It's not the first time Lumine has been 'the only same man in a crazy world', so the laughter floats around his shoulders but doesn't penetrate. He drifts a little further away, then pauses. Crazy he can still work with- Optic Sunflower wasn't any more sane than this one. He turns to a side in the air and glances over his shoulder.]

Care to come along? If this is a prison and all of us are condemned anyway, I see no reason for us not to travel together.

I can think of plenty. [Lumine's personal safety, for one thing, but he lifts himself from the ground to match Lumine nonetheless. It's not as if he has anything better to do, and without Pandora around, he might as well.]

But if you're that lonely.

[A small, soft laugh at that; he turns his head away and forward as they hover onward, gazing at some distant point. As for his self-protection, he's sure he can handle anything that comes up.]

Even 'hardened Mavericks' [here he snorts softly] require some degree of social exchange, you know. Tell me, have I earned the right to know your name yet?
