[so like when did the DR get a huge fountain? Right now, for a rather specific purpose at that as we see Marty poke her head out of it (it's kind of deep down in the fountain too

[And have an X in much slimmer armour than you're used to, Marty! And it's blue and black instead of blue and... well, blue. Lumine still has his robe, after all.]
If it were merely that, we'd be out of here much more easily.
[He takes a moment to consider the sort of individual he's looking at; apparently she knows him, so it might be safe to assume an alternate time line focused during the Maverick War.]
Not so much; technology has always had a habit of working to accomplish the same things while lessening bulk. The twenty-fourth century has made this quite obvious.
[He hums a little thoughtfully.]
I don't think I've met you in my set of circumstances, though you appear to know me. May I ask your name?
[He smiles a little, a hand lifting to his mouth to partially cover it. He's... probably going to need to get used to that response; it seems like it'll be happening a bit.]
Pleasure to meet you, Marty. And... Maybe it's a silly question to ask, but why... are you in a fountain?
[He's seen plenty of aquaitc models, but none were particularly human-looking (excusing Leviathan).]
[He nods. He'd considered something like that for Leviathan when working on her, but decided against it and instead worked with a water jet propulsion system to replace a dash function.]
Given that I can find help from someone who has a little more familiarity in the field, I might be able to help you with that. I haven't done forms before, so I'm not so sure about the mechanisms necessary for that much, but the work needed for something compatible is simple enough.
There are a few robotics engineers here, though, so there's definitely a chance it'll work.

And you have nothing alternative..?
[Well, it looks like something he could work on with a bit of help. If she'd like, anyway. He's done quite a lot of work in this department, so...]
Doesn't seem like it'd be particularly helpful with moving around, here.

[drums her fingers on the edge]
It's helpful enough when I'm in the ocean.
