all this talking, talking, talking, is only bravado

last night was precisely what i needed. working 1:30-10:30 was less than thrilling, but seeing heidi, susy, jody, origin of the sound and talking to a cute boy all in one night was beyond wonderful. i ran away from the ship before jody played to snag erica at roxxy’s and smoke with her, then booted it back just in time to see the man himself. he played fpa songs and everyone sang along and when he forgot the words, everybody filled in the blanks, and it was just so… perfect. my favorite sets are when he fucks up, because that’s where the true entertainment lies. is that to say that he’s not at his best unless he’s at his worst? i don’t think so. it just involves more interaction.

craig better bring back a masterpiece from banff. a MASTAPIECE.

after getting four hours of sleep last night and working all day long today, i am ready to call it a night. i’m not sure whether or not i will head down to the ship tonight, perhaps if i nap for a few hours first. i have been intrigued by something over the course of the last month and i think i might need to investigate - which involves going to the ship tonight.

when i was in high school, my friend listened to these guys called the vestibules.
here’s a little song they sang that used to make me laugh.

you’re a hamburger,
you’d better face up to the facts
you’re a hamburger
you’d better face up to the facts
you don’t have a mom
you don’t have a daddy
you’re just a bun
and an all beef patty
you’re a hamburger
you’d better face up to the facts.

if you can get your hands on it, i recommend downloading "bulbous bouffant", also by the vestibules.
