When I was in high school, some students told the Spanish teacher (who was from Cuba) that Castro had been overthrown (or killed, I can't remember) as an April Fools.
She believed them
And was very upset later when she found out it was April Fools

Yikes. That's some hardcore emotional shit those students were messing around with. I just worked on a project about the Cubans in Miami, and as soon as you bring up Castro, they tend to freak out. It's an interesting culture.
