Magnolia!

I'm not a photography nut or anything, but these were just too awesome not to take pictures of. As you can see, my picture taking skills definately DO NOT do these justice. Ahem.

Cherries are very pretty, but I'm not really into them as much as magnolias. The magnolias here bloom and die pretty fast, but when they're at their peak their beauty exceeds most cherries' IMHO.

A fair amount of plants are in bloom right now so we've spent a couple of planting design studios hiking outside around local state parks and arboretums. Its a nice change from being cooped up in windowless studios for hours at a time.

This Saucer Magnolia (magnolia x soulangia) tree is actually located inside Rutgers' Gardens. It's really old and it has these twisty multiple trunks. It's not a weeping variety but, the branches dip so low, that it makes a cool flower curtain.

I've checked back recently and a lot of the flowers are already dropping like crazy, but I'm glad I at least got to see it in full bloom.
