School is finally over, eh? Summer's here again, but September rolls around and everything's different.

13 years of the same routine, getting ever more complicated.

Why does it feel like every year I just got stupider, lazier, less prepared for the things school is supposed to prepare you for?

Why does it feel like I got so very little out of these 13 god damn years that I should either get some kind of refund, or be allowed to do them all over again?

Maybe I actually learned stuff in the first half, but once I got the hang of things, and became old and mature enough... I just struggled desperately to avoid this "learning" at all costs.

Then the impending Grade 12 year hits me like a ton of bricks, and I metaphorically fall over and fail to (equally metaphorically) get up in any substantial way, such that at the end of the year, I'm barely scraping together the stuff needed ACADEMICALLY to graduate, and this is with a courseload like Law, and Sociology.

School shooting material. 'Nuff said.
