okay, first of all, an apolgy for seeming to desert you guys - I had a reason, honest!
Also, a lengthly update, to rectify said desertion.
first of all,
in fact, it turns out I have glandular fever. WHich is both a good thing, and a bad thing, in that most people do get better from it, eventually, and it's a handy label to have... but it is also pretty nasty. I've been lying down flat for the past five weeks, and it doesn't look like getting better soon, (hence my lack of updates). Apparently it has now moved into post-viral fatigue state, which can kinda go on indefinatly.
I also have very low iron levels, which the doctor reckns will have been significantly contirbuting to my tiredness levels.
Unfortunatly it's looking like I might have to drop a uni paper or two. Every time I turn round my degree length (and expense) seems to miraculously magnify!
In far more exciting news
infact I'm typing on it right now, as it's got wirless with the uni network and everything -free internet acsessable from bed, yay!
And it's cool, and exciting, and... *rubs hands together in speachless glee*
It took forever to set up in with the network, and the number of times I had to call on my computer whizz neighbour really confirmed my own self-etimation: much though I love using it, I just can't handel technology!
I'm going to have a very quiet weekend (ok, my weekend would have been quiet whatever) but Selwyn will be quiet.. ish. Most of the college is ging up to chch for an exchange. I really wish I could go to, but right now that would probably not be the smartest idea.
Oh yes, and I just need to add in some obligatory election-ness. Yay for Labour! let's hope they can form a decent govt! I have to say I've been suprised at the nmber of right-wing students there are round campus... and in my hall... and amongst my friends. It does make for some great debates though. ANd a very enjoyable election night, with different people at different times either celerating or whimpering.
And in much sadder news, I leart a few days ago that the dad of an old friend of mine, Esther, died recently. He had had cancer. His youngest daughter, Tilly, is still in school. It's that kind of thing that really just makes you ask why at the world.
