Sheesh, I really can't seem to behave myself at all, here...

Just got a ticket in the mail the other day, they nailed my van with photo enforcement, for running a red turn arrow (the through traffic had gotten the solid green by then, and the online video footage shows an oncoming lefter going through the same red turn arrow.)

I'm not even sure whether that one was me or Oobles. If it was her, I attribute it to her being in too big a hurry to get everywhere, because she spreads herself too thin, which does carry over to behind the wheel. And whenever I drive her anyplace, she always rags at me to hurry up, push my way into a lot tighter breaks in traffic than I'm comfortable cutting out into, floor it if a light turns yellow on me, etc. And she did say that while she doesn't remember whether she was driving then or not, if she was the one who did it, she's really sorry. So I pointed out that I appreciate her remorse, but we still have ourselves a $100 ticket to pay. Which at least gives me a little more emphasis when I carp at her for being in too much of a hurry --- is she in $100 worth of hurry? And if so, would she mind paying me that up front, so I'll be covered when we get nailed again?

Just between us, though, I think it may have actually been me. And NOT because I was in too big a hurry, if so. Watching the video, I can't help possibly attributing it to my reactions getting significantly slower, especially when I'm sleep deprived. Which I have been in spades lately. RTF has seen to that.

But in any case, the ticket (get this) is issued to the registered owner of the vehicle, which of course is RTF, but doesn't count as a moving violation, at least. Believe it or not, it basically counts as a parking ticket.

Which is about par for the course, seeing as how traffic's gotten so damned heavy at that intersection most of the time lately, it looks and behaves like a parking lot.

But anyways, he's planning to go to court and try to fight it.

And on another note, I have FINALLY finished sorting out Legolyas' billing mess, with a few days to spare before our mutually agreed upon deadline of the end of this month, woohoo! And thanks to my niece, The Gnome, I now know how to actually do calculations with a spreadsheet, so I'm able to actually send the last couple of months back DONE done! Which, of course, means that Aimerz no longer has to sneak this in during the free time she doesn't really have, nor do I need the in person demonstration that she was planning to give me the next time she's in town.

But mind you, that does NOT mean that I'm no longer interested in seeing you and getting together whenever you do make it in! I'd still love to get together with you! It strictly means that we don't have to waste any of our precious, sacred and holy visiting/gossiping/backbiting time on boring business stuff! ;-P
