In the late-1960s and early-1970s, every schoolboy wanted to be
Brian Trubshaw - the UK's test-pilot for the first proving flights of Concorde.
As part of the Concorde program, a pilot/co-pilot headset was developed by a company called "A.P Besson" - it had to provide excellent audio-quality while not causing discomfort to the wearer - indeed, it was intended that "the wearer should become unaware that he is wearing a headset".

The result was the still-in-production
"Airlite 62" - the number indicating the year the design was approved - being quite a few years before Concorde flew.
For my various radio-activities, I still use an Airlite-62 headset - if it's good enough for a Concorde test-pilot it's good enough for me.
