So, sitting at work this morning, drinking hot chocolate and thinking about the weekend and birthday celebration ahead of me. I'm not so sure I'm that excited about turning twenty-five. I was looking forward to my car insurance going down significantly, but with the speeding ticket I got back in August, that's not happening!
I'm more excited about spending this weekend with my favorite cousin than celebrating my 25th birthday. I'm meeting Kim and her Mom almost to the GA/AL line to pick her up and bring her back to my house... she will get to see my house for the first time! I hope she likes it! :) Saturday night we are going to the Monster Truck show at the GA Dome downtown! I am super excited because I am taking a bunch of people who have never been before. I hope to get some good pictures and that everyone enjoys the experience.
On Sunday, we will go to church and probably go out to eat for lunch! My favorite part comes in th afternoon when we load up all the girls and head for Town Center Mall to go WEDDING DRESS shopping! I am so excited to find a dress. I hope I find one this weekend and that it looks great on me and doesn't need a ton of alterations! I am thinking maybe a halter style dress, or maybe a spaghetti strap. I don't want a strapless dress, I don't have the bosom to hold it up. :)
Monday, I get to spend some alone time with Kim before I take her to the airport for her to fly back to DC to be with her hubby. It will be a sad goodbye! But I will see her again in a few months - in March when I get married! :)
Yesterday, I stayed home sick from work - just not feeling great. I head some chest congestion and a sore throat. My Man's orders were for me to sit on the couch/bed and watch tv/movies. I was not allowed to do any house work. I love that man - and he knows me well. I did the best I could, I did paint my nails and give Larson half a haircut! LOL In the evening my Sister in law called, said she was going to take the kids to Mickey D's for dinner to get them Alvin & the Chipmunks kids meal toys and let them run out some energy on the playground. So I rode along, it was a nice visit and got me out of the house for a while, so that was nice. I'm so glad she and I get along so well, and it's nice that she lives next door to me! :)
Needless to say, I am super excited about getting married, although the reality of that fact has yet to set in. A good friend told me that on Sunday when I put on "the dress" then it will set in and I will see myself as a bride. I think maybe she is right. :)
