Early Morning Crazy

Mar 23, 2007 09:49

It's almost 10am. Almost. I've been up since about 6, after purposely leaving my blinds open to catch that 5:30am sun. I had to wear a suit today, and straighten my hair into looking presentable, and cook breakfast, and empty my car, all before school, so I pulled myself out of bed early.

At school, Mr. Misugi gave me a dvd of all the English Club videos and such, he's leaving, though he hasn't said anything to me, I'm sure he assumes that I know, I know all, sometimes. For example, I know that Obi Sensei is not going to the second party tonight because it is her anniversary with her boyfriend. She SHOULD be going though, as she is changing schools and the party is partly for her. I'm not sure anyone else knows this yet.

Anyway, the point. I had to take my car to Honda this morning. But when I went to leave, I saw a lot of teachers standing around the entry way. Odd. Out there, I asked Obi sensei what was up.

"A crazy parent is yelling, so we are standing here, if we need to protect the students."

"Ahhhh. But I have to go to Honda."

"Go around back"

"What about my shoes??" (Because of course, the lady was standing where my outside shoes are kept.

"Don't worry about it" AHHHHHHHHH Sacrilege!!! Indoor shoes worn outside!!

Honda was uneventful, they gave me a car and told me to come back at 5 today, which I find odd, as normally shakken takes two days. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, but I really think when I get there tonight they will tell me they found a problem and they aren't done.

Anyway, back at school, the school guard was chatty, asking me where in America I'm from, and I figured all was well, and he didn't tell me different, so I started to head toward the front door. And then I heard high pitched yelling and decided that was a bad idea.

Back in the staff room and their is a student looking upset. Outside the gym, another is crying. And by then I have to ask, "What the hell is going on today?"

I mean, on the average day, I'm pretty out of the loop with very little clue where everyone else is running around to. Today we have two ceremonies (we just had the closing ceremony, not to be confused with the graduation we had last week, or the goodbye ceremony we will have this afternoon), and then the drinking party tonight, how everyone will spend the rest of the day, I honestly haven't the foggiest idea. So when you throw in crazy parents, crying students, and shakken, I really think it's time to just lay my head down on the desk and wait for the drinking to begin. It is now 10am.
