Disposing of Evidence--Japan Style.

Mar 20, 2007 15:47

I spent a few hours yesterday and a few hours today getting rid of evidence in a paper shredder. Evidence of the students that have just graduated. All their old tests, etc. had to go. In an effort to appear useful, I thought I'd help Obi Sensei, the mastermind behind it all.

After judging I was competent with the shredder, she left me and ran errands today. When she came back she had Starbuck's coffee for us, courtesy of the third grade boss, woo, someone noticed me NOT sitting at my desk, playing on the internet. Unfortunately all the big wigs (Principal, Vice Principal) were out in the morning and I began to worry that they wouldn't see my helpfulness.

I sat down and sure enough, VP, who I KNOW thinks I am a waste of space, I can tell by the way he looks at me, showed up. Ugh. So back I went to the paper shredder. Look at me! Risking paper cuts all and sliced limbs, all to ensure our children's school records remain private.

In the end, we had 27 garbage bags of shredded paper today, that's not including yesterday's. I took a picture so you'll see it soon.

And that is the big news from Nirasaki today. I'm sure you were riveted. So tomorrow is a holiday. Don't ask me which one. Tonight we'll be in Lriver for Amy's last Lriver night, and possibly my own, who knows? Then tomorrow I'll go to the gym and clean and then we'll go over to Minami Alps to see the family. Then two more days and it is Spring Break! Wooo!
