It's Thirsty Thursday.

Or I guess it would be if I was still in Iowa City, still a college student. But I'm not. Actually, I happen to be drinking my daily Diet Coke. ANYWAY. Yes, it's Thursday and tomorrow is Friday and then, after that, I don't have to teach for almost a month. Oh happy, happy Friday. So today is testing day and all the kids have tests all day. I am not a real teacher and thus, have nothing to do. I forgot my computer power cable this morning, so I ran home and got it, and have been happily playing on the computer ever since.

Tonight we are going to Jammin (Mark, Julie and I). Three people who need hair cuts. I don't REALLY, but it's been awhile. And I'd feel left out if I didn't get one too!! Last night I bought my bus ticket to Narita, so America is all systems go. Dinner last night at Rumiko's was good, Sukiyaki, and Stich (Himeno) behaved for like HALF of dinner, a record, I'm sure. Rumiko taught me how to make origami trees that we'll be making at the Christmas party on Saturday.

So here's the plan for my last few days.
Tonight, hair.

Friday, Bonenkai. Yeah, so they told me on TUESDAY that our end of the year party is FRIDAY. Talk about a lot of warning. And, it's expected that ALLLLLL the teachers go. I could easily get out of it, as I am a) not a teacher b) busy as hell c) leaving for America on Monday d) uninformed. BUT, I've decided that it wouldn't hurt for these teachers to like me a quarter as much as the teachers at East do. So, I'm going to put in the effort. And the $100. Yes, that's right. The equivalent of $100 to drink watered down beer and eat so-so Japanese food with people who don't speak to me. I can't freaking wait.

Saturday Morning: Minami Alps Christmas Party. We'll sing, we'll do crafts, I'll dress like Mrs. Claus, fun will be had by all!

Saturday Evening: YETI Christmas party at Juntarou Restaurant in Kofu. A reasonably priced Italian dinner and all you can drink for less than $50. My school should take note. Then probably more drinking at the Vault or whatever. As much as my high heals will allow for, I guess.

Sunday: Cleaning and Packing. I'm taking home three dish sets, as well as other breakables and such. In fact, I doubt I'll have many clothes at all in my suitcases. I hope everything gets there in one piece.

Monday morning: 8:40, Bus in Ryuo, Flight from Narita at 5:40pm. Woooo freaking hooooo!
