Yeah so I forgot all about this journal Lol. But I'm sitting here on the computer blowing off time in Cuba....counting down the days until I get on a plane and leave this island for good. I'm at 49 days right now. I can't wait to spend december in MI. I could deal without it being winter considering I have been in constant summer for over a year here. I love the weather here. Every day that its not raining is a nice beach day....and hey, its an island, there are beaches.
Anyway I am off the Yokosuka next. That's right. Two years of being paid to live in Japan. I can deal with it. I always knew the Navy would be good for something aside from getting me out of debt.
What have I learned from the Navy? 1. you meet all kinds of people (unfortunately I met and married one, and now divorce one) But anyhow 2)take advantage of the fact that they pay you to live in all kinds of places and while you are in some of them, the travel oppurtunities in your off time is amazing so take advantage of it (unfortunately I didnt take advantage of a free trip to puerto rico,but thats how I learned this lesson lol. 3)don't get too used to people, because they are always leaving as are you 4) you can get dicked around alot because you signed a contract and you have to work your way up through some very ignorant people. 5) being in the military, you will be a little bit dumber after a lil while. LOL....can't help it, its just how it works. But you have fun and get to have interesting experiences.
While I can't wait to get out of the navy (I woulda been home for good in july 09, however I decided to extend my contract to go to Japan), I do like it a lot. Its like any other job. Frustrating at times, however sick days arent that easy to get. You can't just call in lol.
Anyway, maybe i will see some of you while I am home. I will be home for the month of december at my parents house. YAY....A whole Month! The longest I have ever been on vacation. Definitely the longest I have been home in years and the first holiday I have had off of work since 05. YAY
