I recently started thinking about something. I'm usually not the kind of person who thinks about what will happen to me ten years from now, but with applying for colleges and everything I kind of had to.
The thing is, I have absolutely no idea what will happen after I graduate. The only thing that I know is that it will have something to do with music, because it's what I love and what I'm good at. I love playing and composing. I have [almost] perfect pitch and I'm really strong aurally.
Plus I love theory. I know. It doesn't make sense to me either. Who in their left mind "loves" theory? :P
But I honestly don't know what kind of decently-paid job that would realistically give me. And on top of that I'm a little nit-picky. I can't really see myself playing in an orchestra or giving violin lessons (You can't either, can you?? :P). And it would suck to come to the point of never finding a job I want (whatever that ends up being) and having to do one or more of those things just to make a living.
I suppose I could always marry a rich guy. As long as he's for sustainable agriculture and likes Red Hot Chili Peppers. :)
Anyways, in the meantime I'm going to keep setting Emerson poetry to music, arranging Muse songs for string trio (two violins and viola, not two violins and cello) and playing around with my electric violin. Maybe something will sprout from that.
