As a matter of fact, I'll fuck off. I'll go somewhere that's perfectly fine with having "Imagine No Religion" billboards up. And where people aren't afraid of going to pride parades. And actually has radio stations that plays modern rock. Because, as of Monday, YOU DON'T HAVE ANY.
If I can, I'll take JVUF and Bottletree with me. And probably Urban Standard.

I'm thinking that the labret piercing is going to happen sometime next week! It would happen this week, but it ocurred to me that my church's annual Youth Day is this Sunday and, as a Youth Rep, I have to give the closing remarks and thank you's.

On a similar note, I haven't had a perm since...a week or two before graduation. Trust me, I need one. :)))
Yes, my roots are good and nappy curly. I'm thinking I won't have a perm by the end of the month. :D
Also, my mom has gotten the idea in her head that dreadlocks are going to make me go bald one day. She says that because my dad is going bald. Ok, A) MY DAD IS 50 YEARS OLD. I don't think that hair loss is *that* weird for him... And B) They practiaclly drag the floor, they're so long. He's been growing them for 20-ish years and has never had them cut. Not to say that they aren't beautiful and kick like *THIS MUCH* ass, but I'm thinking that once mine get passed my hips I'm trimming them. And that's a serious stretch. :\
Anyway, to make mi madre slightly happier, I've told her that I'm going to wait a while before I get the dreads. I don't know what "a while" will be, but I'm fine with riding a fro for a bit. I remember my natural hair being OMG SO BIG AND OUT OF CONTROL, so I'm kind of hoping I can handle it once it starts to get going...But I also hated my hair when I didn't have a perm. I honestly thought it was ugly and made me look like a freak.
It's so weird how my opinions have totally changed over the years. I would KILL to have the hair I had back then! Especially after I'd washed it and it was all bouncy and perfectly coiled. But I hated bouncy and perfectly coiled, so my mom would braid it or I would put it into a huge ponytail...I wouldn't feel good about myself unless I did. :\
Haha, that wasn't supposed to turn into a rant. Just be happy I didn't get into "Why am I, as an African American, expected to have straight hair? It's a standard we set ourselves. What's wrong with the shit I was born with?" mode. :P
In other news, I'm going college shopping with Ashley and Shay on Saturday. I'll let you know if by some miracle it doesn't just turn into us doing stupid shit in a Target. I heart my cousins. :3
