Writer's Block: The Little Things I Do for Our Planet

I work on an organic farm.

BOOYAH!

You're probably thinking that all farmers must be "green" to a certain extent, but you're VRONG. Conventional farming methods that use non-organic pesticides and herbicides are not only harmful to the environment, but are actually also really dangerous to the farm workers and, in some cases, those of us who buy it at the grocery store. And the more chemicals that are used on a plant, the more they will need in the long run; the result is giant fields of a single crop being constantly sprayed with DEATH by big scary guys in rubber suits. All of this branches out into other problems, but I'll end up rambling and not making sense. :D

So, get rid of all of the nasty chemicals and you get ORGANIC~SUSTAINABLE~ agriculture. It's safer, great for the environment, and contrary to popular belief, a lot more practical. Plus, you get to eat stuff right off of the plant. NOM. :d
Sure, you have to pay more attention to your crops and spend a little more time doing actual labor *MANLY GRUNT*, but you don't get stuck in a  big deadly e-vile rut like you do when using pesticides and herbicides.

*puts hippie stamp of approval on this journal entry*
