Running down the platform of the train Station in Barcelona, Cesc narrowly managed to slide onto his train, before the doors slammed shut behind him. He had been so excited at the thought of going to his first El Clasico on his own, that he had forgotten to set his alarm clock the night before and that resulted in him over sleeping and racing to make it on time for the train that would take him into Madrid.
Cesc let out a small sigh of relief before he started walking down the aisle to find his designated seat. He had nearly reached the end of the coach when he found what he was looking for, but paused for a second before sitting down in his chair. Cesc found him self sat on one side of a booth that would fit up to four people, only one other chair was occupied so far and that belonged to a man opposite of him and who was gazing out of the window he was lent against.
It was easy to admit that at from the side of the other mans face, he was quite good looking. He looked in his late 20s, with dark hair and the beginnings of a beard forming. Cesc relaxed in the thought of at least having some eye candy to cast sneaky glances at during the journey. He reached into his pockets and started typing out a few tweets, as the figure before him carried on looking out the window as if not even noticing Cesc's presence.
----------------------
It wasn't until the ticket lady came round asking for tickets, that the guy turned away from the window giving Cesc a smile before handing his ticket over to the woman who returned his ticket quickly and took Cesc's before moving onto the next set of passengers. Cesc expected the guy to turn back to staring out the window but instead he remained facing Cesc, so Cesc could clearly see his face only to find himself looking down to conceal a blush at how dazzling the man looked.
Seeing the hint of a blush the man let out a small chuckle, before running his tongue over his bottom lip and parted his lips to begin speaking " Not even 15 minutes into the train ride and you're already blushing, this should be a good journey"
"I'm not blushing" Cesc countered defensively as his head shot up to stare back at the man, not realising that his blush was still visible on his cheeks.
"That's not what your face is saying" he chuckled back, as Cesc groaned buried his head on top of his hands that were crossed on the table. "Aww don't be embarrassed it happens to us all" Cesc felt the guy poke him in the shoulder a few times before he let out his own sigh.
Silence settled on the two of them for a few minutes before Cesc grew confident enough to raise his head. To his surprise, the stranger had mirrored his position and was smiling right as Cesc. He fought the urge to bury his head again and instead just rested his chin on his arms.
"So do you have a name to go with the cute little blush?" the guy enquired and smiled as Cesc's checks turned a darker shade of pink.
Cesc carried on staring at the guy, debating his head what to tell the man but deciding that he was probably never going to see him again it couldn't hurt after all it would make the journey less boring. "Francesc but everyone calls me Cesc"
"Iker" the guy returned still focusing his attention on Cesc, even when his phone buzzed on the table next to his arms.
"What kind of name is Iker?" Cesc countered trying to figure out whether Iker was having him on or not.
"What kind of name is Francesc?" Iker replied with fake disgust when he said said Cesc's name before letting out yet another chuckle, before quickly checking his phone and locking it again. "So what brings you on a train to Madrid?"
"What is this 20 questions or something? Figure it out for yourself" Cesc stated, still clearly intrigued by Iker.
Iker twisted his head slightly to the side as he looked over Cesc taking in every detail to narrow down his options, before resting his head back down on his arms and looking back into Cesc's eyes. "You're not in smart ish clothes, so you aren't coming to Madrid for work. You had a few other tickets stashed with your train ticket, so your going to see something while your there. You got on the train in Barcelona, and have there's an El Clasico on in Madrid, so I think your going to watch it. Culé by any chance?"
Cesc was shocked to say the least, his mouth hang slightly a gape and he spluttered a bit as he tried to form words. "H.. How did you do that? Is that your superpower or something, figuring out where people are going."
"Nah it just kind of made more sense that we're heading to the same place than going somewhere else" Iker replied matter-of-fact-ly, flashing Cesc yet another genuine smile.
"So your going to the match as well. It's the first time I'm going to watch a match outside of Barca and what better match to see that El Clasico. I'll just follow you then 'cause I don't have a clue where I'm heading and will probably get lost on my way there and spend the whole time the match is going on and then miss the whole thing. I have a real habit of getting lost and for rambling on about things. But one question are you a Culé or a Madridista? Cesc's clear distaste for the word shining through as he struggled to get the words out.
"Sorry to disappoint then" Iker sat back in his seat and started to unzip his jacket to real the start of a Real Madrid Goalkeepers jersey before hastily covering it back up and relaxing back on his arms once again.
"Knew it was too good to be true" Cesc muttered. "Though you are the only Madridista that I will ever talk to"
"I feel honoured" Iker joked "And you are the only Culé that I will ever think about after this conversation"
"Well you're the only Madridista that I will ever think is not bad looking"
"Well you're the only Culé that I will ever enjoy seeing the way he looks at me"
"Well you're the only Madridista that i would ever see again"
"Well you're the only Culé that I would forget you are one, just so I could see you again" Iker reached out one of his hands and brushed his fingertips across Cesc's arm, smiling when Cesc didn't flinch away only relaxed into the touch.
---------------------------
The two of them remained sitting in silence, hands joined together for the rest of the journey and were only brought back to reality by the announcement that they were now entering Madrid Station. Iker fell back into his seat and pulled out his phone, typing a quick message before turning back to Cesc.
Once the train came to a stop, Iker rose from his seat and stood in the aisle with his hand outstretched to give Cesc a hand getting up as well. Cesc took the hand without thinking and was pulled up so fast, he slightly lost his balance and found himself against Iker's chest.
Cesc blushed heavily as he pulled himself away from Iker "I'm so sorry"
"Don't be sorry" Iker just ran a finger over the part of Cesc's cheek where the blush was the darkest, before he leaned forward and lightly kissed the skin where his finger had previously been, before pulling back and placing his arm around Cesc's shoulders and leading him off the train.
"Do you do that to all the random guys you meet on the train?" Cesc joked, happy that he didn't have to worry about making the first move and getting rejected.
"Only the ones that are extremely good looking and Culés but there are not many of them around" The pair burst into laughter and Cesc placed his arm around Iker's waist, not wanting this to end.
"You do know that you did it all wrong, right?"
Iker stopped in his tracks and turned to Cesc, raising a questioning eyebrow as he tried to figure out what Cesc was implying. "What?"
"You did it all wrong, here let me show you how its done" Cesc didn't know where his confidence came from but he reached his hands up into Iker's hair and leaned up, kissing Iker full on the lips. He felt Iker respond eagerly to his touches, placing one hand on Cesc's cheek and with his free arm wrapped it around Cesc's waist, pulling the younger man closer to his body.
After a few minutes both pulled away from each other, glancing into the others eyes while matching smiles made their way onto their lips. Iker wrapped his arm back around Cesc' shoulder and they slowly continued walking on their way out of the station. Upon walking out the doors, Cesc looked up to see the giant outline of the Bernabéu just a few streets away. The streets were lined with masses of people all headed in the same direction, shouts were erupting everywhere, flares lit up the sky and the smell of fast food lingered in the air from all the vendors at the sides of the road.
Iker leaned his lips against Cesc's ear "Still think you'd be able to get lost in this?" shouting to make sure that his voice could be heard over everything else "Its quite something isn't it"
"Yeah it is."
"Come on, I have to meet a friend outside the stadium so we have to hurry I'm afraid." Iker swiftly started directing his way through the crowds, pulling Cesc along with him.
---------------
Upon reaching the Stadium, Cesc was absolutely gob smacked at everything around him. It was so different to watching matches in Barcelona, the El Clasico crowds were so much bigger than any match he'd ever been too and the atmosphere was so much more intense than anything he'd ever been a part of.
"Pass me your ticket, so I can help you find where you are." Iker held out his hand expectantly as Cesc dug through his pockets to pull out his ticket before placing it in Iker's outstretched hand. Iker glanced over it for a second before handing it back to Cesc. "Come on your over this way" Iker smiled towards Cesc before they carried on walking again.
"You don't have to walk me around any more, besides I thought you had to meet your friend?"
"I do but he's either off flirting with someone or not even here yet so. And I'm not letting you go that easily, not when I haven't even got your number yet." Iker smirked as he pressed a kiss to Cesc's temple.
"And what if I don't give you my number?" Cesc challenged
"Then I'm not letting you go until I either have it or you have mine."
Before Cesc could formulate an answer, they were interrupted by a guy running up them, shouting Iker's name over and over again. The guy came to stand still in front of them, showing off one of the toothiest grins that Cesc had ever seen, before he felt Iker's arm drop from his shoulder and saw him engulfed in a hug from the stranger.
"Cesc this is Sergio, Sergio meet Cesc" Sergio looked over Cesc, with a blank expression before breaking out his massive grin again and eloping Cesc into a bone crushing hug.
"Its good to see you've found my replacement already but at least he's good looking this time" Cesc looked to his feet to hide yet another blush.
"He's not going to replace you as my best mate, 'sides we only met earlier and I'm helping him find his way" Iker replied poking his tongue out in Sergio's direction and resting an arm around Cesc's waist.
"You two look very comfy to say you only met today, what was it this time love at first sight? Didn't think you did cliches" Sergio chuckled.
"Something like that"
"Well at least he's a Madridista, so that would explain your fast work"
"I'm not a Madridista" Cesc interrupted as he heard Sergio gasp in shock.
"A culé, seriously Iker? Well I can't say I'm surprised in you Iker, you always did have weird tastes but if he makes you happy then I guess I can overlook which team he supports." Sergio turned to face Cesc, who looked slightly scared of the man "I may never accept that you are a Cul but I will overlook it for Iker's sake and if he's happy with that fact then I will overlook it for him but don't think I won't pounce on you repeatedly for it"
Cesc just looked up at Iker to find him smiling at him "Thats Sergio's way of saying that he wants to be your friend. And anyway here we are, your seat awaits, before I let you go pass me your phone." Reluctantly Cesc gave him the phone and watched as he typed away, only to hand it back a minute later. "Call me when you're out of the stadium after the match and I'll come meet you, we'll go somewhere for drinks later to serve as commiserations after your team lose" Iker joked.
"My teams not gonna lose, but if your paying then I might just be tempted to ring" Cesc joked as he turned to make his way inside only to be pulled back by a hand around his wrist.
He twisted and found himself face to face with Iker, who leaned down and kissed him like they had at the train station. Cesc smiled as they pulled away and he knew that whatever the result he would make sure that he rang Iker as soon as he got the chance.
