Dan/Jan Anniversary
To all of my fellow Dan/Jan fans:
Remember Dan/Jan Days? When we would gather together in Gateview chat on the 12th of every month to celebrate the awesomeness that was Daniel/Janet? Well, the reason we chose the 12th for those days was because the episode 2010, the one where Michael and Teryl began adding subtext to their scenes together, aired on January 12, 2001.

Misty and I have decided that January 12, 2010, should be declared THE ULTIMATE DAN/JAN DAY!!! And we're planning a huge bash accordingly. Here's the plan we've concocted so far -
First of all, we'll be reopening Gateview Forum with threads for all kinds of Dan/Jan related activities - games, music vid recs, fanfic recs, offerings of new art from anyone who wants to participate, memory lane threads for both the show and fandom, and anything else we can think of. These threads will open at midnight on January 12, and will remain open for the rest of the week so that everyone will have an opportunity to join in.
At 8pm EST that night we'll be opening the chatroom doors, so that at 9pm EST we can all watch 2010 together in SG-1's original east coast timeslot. After that, we'll continue watching more of the key Dan/Jan episodes from various seasons, to be decided on by those joining in. I can, um, offer alternate sources for each of the episodes, in case anyone doesn't have the DVDs.
This is gonna be SO MUCH FUN, you guys!! Just like the old days. Absolutely everybody who still has a soft spot for Dan/Jan is invited - even if you're new to the fandom and don't know any of us oldies, even if we've drifted apart over the years or you've moved onto different fandoms, even if you've been hovering around the fringes this whole time and just never joined in with us before. We'd be thrilled if EVERYONE from Dan/Jan fandom at least stopped by the forum and chat for as little time as you can manage, but the longer you stay and the more you join in the better! We want this to be an awesome day for all of Dan/Jan-dom.
If you have any suggestions for games or activities, or you feel you can offer gifts of fanart, fic, vids, fanmixes, etc on the day for the rest of us to enjoy, please let us know! We'd like to keep everything as Dan/Jan-related as possible, but other than that, the sky is the limit!
We'd like to keep everything together on Gateview forum on that day so that people from all over fandom have a single place to gather rather than being scattered over LJ and Yahoo and Gateworld and wherever else SG-1 fans congregate, but please spread the word to Dan/Jan fans everywhere! All you'll need to participate is a Delphi membership, which is free and easy to obtain. We hope to see all of the old gang there, and to make some new friends as well! :D
