Oh Meags, honey!!

*SENDING YOU MASSIVE HUGS*

I didn't even know all this was going, and there was me harping on about stupid things. *MORE HUGS*

I don't really have anything useful to add. Maybe though, if you think about the type of person your grandmother was, and what she wanted for you, it might help you make a decision?

Would she want you to go back for a funeral, or would she want you to stay and make the most of it?

On the other hand, what is important to you? Do you need to be with your family and grieve, and be there particularly for your father, or will your family support you if you stay in Canada?

It is such a difficult decision, and I honestly don't believe there is any 'right' thing to do. If one of my grandparents in SA were to pass away, there is no way that I could afford to go to their funeral, and when I had this chat with my mother a little while ago, she pretty much said that she'd talked to her parents and they would rather she comes and visits while they are still around, because at the funeral there is nothing she can do, and they wouldn't be upset if she wasn't there.

I don't know if that's helped at all, but I am so, so sorry for your loss :(
