Hey y'all!
So here’s the update on mi vida loca…
The wedding draws nearer with each passing hour, and I am feeling the stress…..my sister is feeling the stress…..my mother is feeling the stress…..my whole family is feeling the stress. I will never understand why she chose December 30 for a wedding date, but what can I do?
I put together the bachelorette party invitations last night, and they’re hideous to me. I have this horrible fear that I am going to put on the lamest bachelorette party known to man. I am praying people have fun, and that Cassie has a good time. I also have to sing at the wedding, and singing at weddings always freaks me out…….I always feel like I’m just going to completely ruin someone’s big day, plus you know it will always be captured on film for all of time! HAHA! My first wedding performance, I completely forgot the words to “You Light Up My Life” (hey, I didn’t pick it!), and shockingly no one in the audience knew the words. I ended up using lines from the first verse over again, along with some made-up stuff! Talk about embarrassment, but I think I covered it moderately well. Ever since then, though, I’ve been phobic.
I am moving the same weekend as the bachelorette party, and also my god-daughter’s birthday party is that weekend. Can you feel my pressure, people?
On a lighter note, I have discovered India Arie’s music, and she rocks my socks! Her song “Video” is my theme song: “I’m not the average girl from your video, and I ain’t built like a supermodel, but I learned to love myself unconditionally, because I am a Queen…” I highly recommend her.
Heroes comes on tonight, and an extra-long Grey’s Anatomy on Thanksgiving that I absolutely cannot wait for!! Also, they are moving Men in Trees to Thursday nights, so that means I have three of my fave shows to watch on Thursdays…..makes my life much more compact LOL!
Have you seen the new pics and the trailer for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix?? It is going to be so completely amazing! It looks like they put in all of the scenes that I reallllly wanted, so I’m happy about that. Now if we could just get some news about that seventh book….
