Update and Birthday Wishes
How's everyone been??!? All's been quiet here of late.......just chillin and enjoying my new car something fierce. My cousin and aunt came into town recently and paid me a visit. I was so glad to see them! My cousin is truly one of my bestest friends in the world, and I wish she could be here all the time. We have so many things in common, and that's a rare thing when you have strange interests like mine LOL! Nobody in my family gets my Harry Potter addiction as much as she does.
Speaking of Potter.....this summer is going to be insane! The week of the book release I'm going down to Atlanta to visit the cuz, and we're taking a road trip to Savannah, GA for a few days, which should prove to be a good time. We're going to take some ghost tours (SPOOKY!!), and take in the local sights. We might go out to Tybee Island as well. Then we're coming home and attending a book release party for the Deathly Hallows release (getting our books at midnight, baby!!)! I've never been to one of these, but thought it might be a good time since it's the last book. I'll be returning home that weekend.
THENNNNNNN.....I'll be travelling back down there a couple weeks later, cause we have.......JOHN MAYER TICKETS!!!! HOOTY HOO!! I'm so excited. I have not always been a Mayer fan, but have recently come to appreciate him more and more. I can't wait to see him in person!
We're calling it the "Summer of Dreams".......appropriate, methinks.
How crappy is this season of American Idol? Last night was just the icing on the cake of badness for me. Gina was one of my faves, and it upset me greatly to see her leave........especially when that little chick Sanjaya WAS NOT EVEN IN THE BOTTOM THREE. Can anyone explain this madness to me? I mean, I know about Howard Stern and votefortheworst, but seriously?? I know they're trying to be funny, but regardless of what you think about the show, it IS and has proven to be a stepping stone for many people to fulfill their dreams. I just think it's wrong to be such a dream-ruiner and keep the worst around forever. Just my opinion.......I'm just about done with the show this season. Once a couple more people are gone, I'm out.
I guess I've rambled on long enough......I hope you're all doing well and having incredible weeks.
