As I drove home last night through the pouring rain, I saw thunderbolts rip through the sky.  I saw one thunderbolt come down straight, make a loop, and continue down to the ground.  Most of the thunderbolts illuminated the city like the lights on a football field: violent, powerful and revealing

I love torrential downpours... I think they may well be my fav natural phenomenon. I especially love it during the summer, in NY. There's a month when you can't leave the house without your umbrella, but the show goes on. Last year we saw Belle and Sebastian. It poured in the middle of the show, at which point the music stopped and we all stood under our umbrellas... Then the sun came out
